About This Webinar

Is This Webinar For You?

As cancer survival rates improve, more Acupuncturists are seeing patients with chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN). This session was designed for Acupuncturists who want to move beyond basic symptom management toward a clearer, neuroanatomy-informed approach.

Dr Poney Chiang worked through the neuroanatomy of CIPN, how it informs point selection along nerve pathways, and the research context — including MRI studies exploring Acupuncture for CIPN — before walking through one of his CIPN cases in detail.

The session was conducted in English and closed with a focused live Q&A on CIPN.

Recommended For
Licensed Acupuncturists working with CIPN and peripheral neuropathy who want a neuroanatomy-informed approach.
Background Helpful
Some clinical familiarity with neuropathy is useful, though the session built its reasoning from the anatomy up.
Language
Conducted in English.
Format
Lecture (~40 min) → live Q&A (~20 min), via Zoom

What This Webinar Covered

01

The Neuroanatomy of CIPN

How the neural pathways involved in CIPN translate into practical clinical considerations.

02

Point Selection by Nerve Pathway

A research-informed approach to point selection grounded in the relevant nerve anatomy.

03

The Research Context

MRI research exploring Acupuncture for CIPN, and how it informs clinical reasoning.

04

A Worked Treatment Approach

How Dr Chiang structures a CIPN treatment, step by step.

05

A CIPN Case in Detail

Dr Chiang walks through one of his CIPN cases, sharing the protocol and the decision points along the way.

06

Live Q&A with Dr Chiang

A focused Q&A on applying these ideas to CIPN in the clinic.
