Professor Tianjun Wang

Expert in Jiao Scalp Acupuncture, developed by Professor Jiao Shunfa. Brings deep clinical experience in neurological conditions — including stroke rehabilitation, movement disorders, and chronic pain — to every teaching engagement.

Professor Wang earned his medical degree from Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine in 1989 and practised as a doctor and Acupuncturist in a Nanjing Traditional Chinese Medicine hospital for 18 years. He completed his PhD at the same university, with research into Acupuncture treatment for depression — the start of a career-long focus on brain health.

Today he is Principal of the London Academy of Chinese Acupuncture, a Guest Professor and PhD supervisor at Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine, President of the Institute of Scalp Acupuncture UK, and Vice President of the Scalp Acupuncture Committee of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies. He is the author of Acupuncture for Brain — Treatment of Neurological and Psychological Disorders, published by Springer in 2020.
